Hi,

I installed agephone 2.71 into my kaiser(tytn II), it works ok, but both parties can hear very loud background noise, anyway to disable the background noise, or at least make it lower?

At the moment the only thing that can significantly reduce the background noise in these cases is a headset that comes with a good cancellation algorithm. AGEphone Mobile itself does not offer any noise cancellation for several reasons, the most prominent being that it simply takes to much processing power if we are talking about a general solution. More specialized solutions are usually for single phone models only and offer sub par performance on all others. We are thinking about implementing a lighter solution based on the Speex codec and it seems as if most handsets are able to keep up with it. If this really finds its way into one of the next releases the situation should improve.

Thanks for your reply, I turned my audio level down a little bit , and the background noise was reduce a lot. Looking forward the next release.
