Hey there,

I am having the hardest time to get SIP working on my Samsung Omnia QWERTY running WM 6.1. And then I mean ANY SIP client, I guess I tried them all.. Fring and Nimbuzz work, but they freeze my phone every couple of hours. SJphone also works, but I am unable to answer incoming calls because the anwerbutton is not showing on my screen (both SJphone versions). The builtin WM6 SIP client is showing “Service Blocked”.

So, now I’m trying Agephone. But no luck here also. Whatever I try my phone keeps telling me “not registered to sip server”. The strange thing is that I am able to make a outgoing call, but no incoming calls. I am using www.budgetphone.nl as my SIP provider, that’s working great for me for over the last two years on my home phone. And I don’t think it can be a firewall issue, I even have put my Samsung in a DMZ for the moment, but nothing seems to matter.

Please help.


Here is the logfile. Note that I replaced my userID for “phonenumber”, cause its never a wise idea to post your phonenumber on a board . And “register expires” is set to 600, this is the adviced setting by budgetphone.nl....

Thank you very much for the detailed information! If you could do one more thing: Please follow the instructions under creating-log-files-t31.html and create a detailed log for me so that I can take a closer look. Just try to register once after enabling the log and attach the "log.txt" file that is saved in "My Documents / My Phone Booth".

But I am getting very confused now.

I go to nemu/settings/Maintenance, I enable "Create Detailed Log"....I get message about disk space....I click "OK".....Then I try to login.....I get "not registered to sip server"

Then i go to my documents/my phonebooth......This folder contains the following files, addrbook.txt, history.txt, info.txt, Lines.conf, sipd.conf, sipd.conf.tmp, sipd.log and sipuser.txt......as you can see there is no log.txt.

I have tried a couple of times. And i did a file search, but there seems to be no "log.txt" anywere on my device.

Am I missing something here?

I had the same problem once on my own device and dismissed it as I never heard anyone report any issues with the log function. In my case, a restart solved the problem and the log was created the next time I started up the softphone. Please let me know if it still doesn't work after soft-resetting your phone.

Soft reset does not make any change.

However, I found that after making a phone call the log.txt file has been created. But the file contains data about the phone call only. I see nothing about failed register attempts. So I’m afraid it’s not going to be very useful

Anyway…..I have sent it to you by PM
