Provider Connection Issue

Postby reekotubbs on Tue Dec 23, 2008 5:52 am

I have a sip provider that only allows sip transactions on port 5070.
When I go to setup the account in Fring I have no problem specifying the port to 5070 and I instantly connect to my provider and can make calls and receive calls. I am also able to connect to my gizmo5 account in Fring in to different ways. One by using the gizmo5 plugin or manually inputting the sip information.

On Agephone I can I can connect to my gizmo5 account with no problem. But when I attempt to setup my provider sip information I cannot connect to them. I believe it has to do with the port. I changed the port manually to 5070, but still no luck.

I am using HTC Touch Pro.

Hello reekotubbs and welcome to the forums! Can you please tell me the name of the VoIP provider that can only connect to port 5070?

Please excuse the late answer - I've been busy moving to Japan again in the last two weeks and didn't really get to check the forums. As for the port problem, changing the number under "Network (page 2) - SIP Port" should set things up correctly. I assume that you have tried that and if that's the case, please let me see your log files (http://ageet.freeforums.org/creating-log-files-t31.html) so that I can see what is going wrong.
