Windows screen of death

Postby Newbie11 on Tue Dec 16, 2008 1:55 am

After first successes in testing Agephone 2.71 on my HTC X7510 and a happy end with the bluetooth headset activation challenge, I have started encountering a problem. It happens intermittently, and sometimes two or three calls go through without it happening and sometimes every call crashes with it.

I am talking about the Windows "screen of death". The one that starts with "We are sorry".
The problem-specific message (the only one I have seen, at least) is "A problem has occured with device.exe".
There is no more useful information. After clicking "don't send" several times, the Agephone amazingly returns and I can make another call, till another failure of the same kind happens.

The problem is not related to the bluetooth activation trick, I have checked it again after deactivating the bagctrl.exe and resetting the HTC.

Anyway, I have saved two files with detailed log and wil be happy to send it to your e-mail of choice.

Waiting for your response.

Best regards.

I will point our programmers to this thread so that they can take a close look at your problem. If possible, please add the logs here to the thread; if you would rather not attach them just mail me under support // ageet // com or michael // ageet // com and I will make a nice package of this post and the files.

Hi Michael,

I realize it's barely past holiday times, but are there any news for my issue? Or a new release, for that matter?

Thanks.

Never be shy to ask - it's been a while! But your assumption wasn't wrong: Our programmers simply drowned in year-end projects and didn't get to this one before the holidays anymore. I'll forward the thread once more to make sure it doesn't get lost.
